About Indiecator

Streamer, Blogger, Curator, Lich

I’m Magi (he/they), a variety streamer, blogger and curator from the Underworld.

I’m a university student that is currently studying English Studies and Philosophy with the goal of becoming a teacher. I love occult stuff, Indie Games, sweets, and good music.

For the past three years, I’ve been blogging here on Indiecator, trying to bring more attention to Indie Gems that you may not have heard about yet. I really enjoy writing about topics that interest me and expressing my views on a bunch of subjects which is one of the main reasons that I got into blogging.

And well, I’m proud to say that I love reviewing games and that I really enjoy what I’m doing on here, even if this is a non-profit sort of thing, it’s been a lot of fun and I hope you enjoy your stay on my blog as well.

For information about my Twitch streams specifically, please check out this page over here!

On Indiecator,…

You can expect all sorts of posts on here, ranging from comments on topics that interest me to reviews on Indie Gems that you may not know about. The Indie Game jungle can be quite overwhelming due to the sheer volume of games coming out each day. Hence, Indiecator is supposed to give you some insights into what sort of gems you definitely have to check out.

I also write “First Impressions” style posts that are basically smaller reviews, mostly on shorter games, Early Access titles, and demos. These can be found in the Lookout Post category. Interviews, news about upcoming titles, Kickstarter campaigns, etc. are also located here!

In the Gaming Journal, you can find essentially posts that are about me playing games and just having a fun time. My “Late to the Party” posts are about games that everyone else has already played that I only just got to, for instance. I also write about other projects, series, and just stuff that is gaming-related that interested me.

The Stray Sheep is a category of posts that are about daily stuff, announcements, and my occasional ramblings. This is still my personal blog, so I try to make it personal, haha. But seriously, when it doesn’t fit into any other category, The Stray Sheep is the right category for it!

Bleeding Purple is on Twitch-related stuff. You can find posts here about streaming-related questions, new updates that Twitch released, new features that I’m commenting on, as well as streaming-related controversies or discussions that were sparked recently. It’s mostly opinions but occasionally, I give some advice on certain topics as well – when I think that I have the right amount of expertise for that topic.

If you want to get in touch with me, you can send me an e-mail right here! During the upcoming Blaugust event, you will see a lot more reviews on this blog and since this is a one-man-show, it may take longer for me to get to your e-mails, so please be patient and I’ll make sure to get to you as soon as I physically can! Thank you!
