Feed the Revolution and creating a Mini-Cosmos in Universe for Sale!

Universe for Sale – the compelling upcoming sci-fi narrative experience about human relationships and self-acceptance, following the stories of the nameless Master, a mysterious cultist, and Lilia the universe vendor – by developer Tmesis Studio and publisher Akupara Games is among my Gamescom highlights, and hence I’ve been incredibly excited about it’s release for a good while!

Turns out that we all can experience it for ourselves on November 16th (PC, Mac, Linux)!

A revolution brews in a derelict mining colony on Jupiter, with strange cultists, sentient apes, and hard-working androids roaming the bizarre bazaar nestled among the clouds of the unrelenting gas giant.
Help Lila and the Master unravel their forgotten past and connections, ever-trying to discover why deja-vu is slowly eating away at their minds.

Follow the stories and interconnected history of Jupiter’s inhabitants and you might just find yourself lucky with a Universe For Sale.

As you walk through Jupiter’s bazaars, you’ll meet a kaleidoscopic cast of characters with incredible stories to tell, and you’ll craft your own stories with Lila’s power to create custom universes.

This game’s appeal probably lies for the most part in the relationship of Lilia and the Master which isn’t necessarily romantic. I believe that there are way too many games exploring romantic relationships, so I’m really excited to see another title exploring a platonic and mysterious relationship between two characters that are struggling.

While I played Universe for Sale’s demo, I had the impression that the developers and writers managed to represent this relationship really well.

The conversations felt human; they felt real, with things left to one’s imagination, of course. It was intriguing! I really wanna know more about the story, so I just can’t wait to dive right into it on release!

Aside from the intriguing mysteries of the abandoned mining colony in the clouds of Jupiter, players can also enjoy an incredibly chilled-out original soundtrack from the immensely talented Gulgielmo Diana, beautifully crafted hand-drawn animation, and the ability to create your very own cosmos in a ceramic cup, making your mark with a unique and imaginative minigame.

If you’re still unsure about the game and wanna try out the Prologue for yourself, feel free to check it out over here.
That said, I’d also highly recommend checking out the Steam Page for yourself and hitting that “wishlist” button. It’s a great way to support the developers and it doesn’t cost you anything either. :)
