So, for the past couple of days, I haven’t actually released any reviews and I wanted to talk a bit about that today.
Reviews take a lot of time to write and it’s a lot of effort but in the end, it’s worth it because I like doing it. I wanted to write more this year but with the Steam Next Fest and all of that, I frankly haven’t had the spoons to do it just yet. I also was sick for a while and that was kind of… iffy. I had a bit of a fever and my voice sucked for a few days but in the end, I took some time off, published a few posts, and here I am declaring that I will review more stuff!
I mean, I like doing reviews and I like writing about games but frankly, the issue is that when I write a lot about games, I end up not enjoying it as much anymore after a while. The point I’m trying to make is that I do enjoy it but after writing a lot about games, I end up writing a lot about other things that I do or that affect me or that I enjoy. My Duolingo review may be categorised as a review but technically, I’m not entirely sure where to put it. I kind of review it but at the same time, it’s maybe not a complete review. On that note, the Duolingo stuff has been going well btw.
For the past couple of days, my e-mail inbox has been quite overwhelming with a bunch of review requests, which is why I wanted to make this post. I will cover a lot of those… it’s just that it will take time and starting tomorrow, more “First Impressions” and “Review” style posts will come out.
It’s just a matter of when I get to it. Similarly, I also wanted to review Mushoku Tensei given that I love the light novel, the manga, the show, the universe, and everything really… but I feel as if a lot of people don’t realise how great it is because they don’t understand it all that well. It’s a bit hard to put into words which is why the draft isn’t quite finished just yet.
Look forward to more content! We’re on a big streak and I’m enjoying blogging a whole lot. I also want to tackle that big blogging-related project I had planned for YouTube soon but I first gotta schedule more reviews, all the while not slacking off when it comes to my exams and all of that. I still have one left and I still gotta study for it, so that takes priority.
