The ISP Problem Saga came to an end…Kinda!

So, today, I’m writing this post from my phone. It’s less than ideal but on the bright side of things, it’s quite cold and writing from the warm embrace of my bed is rather nice for a change.

This week, the internet issues have been resolved, meaning that the internet upload speed was improved, going up from 2.5 Mbit/s to 80 (!) – which will later get upgraded even further once some of the other technical stuff was cleared.

Naturally, I was more than excited about that prospect.

I’m finally able to play online games again. I can watch live streams at 720p or even 1080p now!

And that also means that my stream now is available at 720p, too.

1080p probably also would be possible but since I’m not partnered, transcoding isn’t always possible, meaning people may not be able to watch the stream after all.

But then… It started to storm a lot this weekend and for whatever reason, the internet went out since yesterday in the evening. Sigh.

It could be just a fuse again. We had that before. The only way to fix it would be to hit the fuse’s switch again but to do so, we need the key to the server room… And only janitors have that key… And those janitors are off on the weekend.

I asked before if I can have a key, too, for when the fuse goes out again – but they didn’t wanna give one out. Instead, if a fuse goes out on a Friday afternoon, the internet will be gone until Monday.

So, just a small update. The internet speed is good now and it doesn’t disconnect randomly anymore but the whole fuse thing is more than annoying…

Oh, well… Baby Steps.
