Midnight Ramblings with Magi

Just a quick update. As mentioned the other day, the ISP troubles that have rampaged our dorm have finally come to an end… and then the internet went out for a whole day which was less fun… but it’s been good ever since then.

And… honestly,… Huzzah. I’m excited.

Because not only can I now write blog posts without having the trouble of the backup not being made or the post not saving and stuff like that… but I’ve also been able to stream on Twitch without any disconnects, frame drops or other issues.

Heck, I recently returned to Monster Hunter World and Dark Souls 3 and actually enjoyed myself… because my viewers were able to see every death of mine in good quality without any interruptions.

It’s truly a new era.

In other news, my university schedule is packed and I’m still not quite sure if I’ll have time to stream. Balancing family stuff, a long-distance relationship and university is hard as is. Blogging on top of that is gonna be tricky but doable. But then also streaming on top of that… not sure.

I may do short streams on the weekends after I’m done studying on those days… but I don’t want them to take up too much time, so I’ll need to figure out a schedule of sorts that works for me, especially as I won’t have time to game as much as before with the new schedule and everything.

Stream time is gaming time… and while I don’t want to quit streaming completely as it’s truly one of my passions… I’ll have a hard time making time for it. I’ll figure something out, though, since stream times are typically when I review games or get to play them in the first place.

Speaking of which, I really gotta write those reviews I had planned but it’s been one thing after another as of late. I’ve got my notes on a fair few titles but I just didn’t get to finish the write-up on any. On top of that, there are still some interviews missing that I’ll most likely get to in the next few days.

But I’ve been struggling for a lack of time as of late. It’s a bit annoying.

Just recently, I had to go to the hospital again as I turned blind again. Yup, that was fun. Results came in… nothing. They couldn’t find anything. Once I was able to see again, I got to leave, too… but like… nothing.

Anyway, I spent a long time there and literally couldn’t see anything… and it was pointless in the end but sudden blindness is a symptom of strokes and strokes aren’t good… so it’s a good thing that I called an ambulance. But it wasn’t a stroke. Just sudden blindness for a few hours, I guess.

And now I’ll be gone again for another few days starting tomorrow at night. I’ll visit my partner for the first time at her apartment, so I’ll take the train for about 5.5 hours and arrive there past midnight. We’ll sleep. Then she’s got work on Friday and we’ll do stuff in the afternoon. I’ll then leave on Monday in the afternoon and return back home around 9 PM…

I’m both looking forward to and dreading the trip. The long train rides will be a pain but I’ll probably finish the last few volumes of Mushoku Tensei on that train ride while blasting my favourite music.

But I didn’t prepare any posts yet for the next few days, so I’ll have to do all of that tomorrow. Heck, even this post is technically late. I say technically because I still have two or three minutes until midnight, hehe.
