Struggling as an anonymous person on the internet while trying to unbox something…!

This is an odd one.

I just now went out to pick up this package and just now realised that it’s an incredibly exciting one, actually. I just received this press/media kit for the upcoming game “Saturnalia” and I really want to open it… but I’d also like to film that.

But this is where my struggles come in:

First up, how do I do that?

I’d probably have to use my webcam and I’d have to do it at my desk. Furthermore, I’d have to have proper lighting for it and whatnot…

But my desk is small. Other tables would probably not work all that well either given that they’re too heavy to move and I don’t really want to bother my flatmate by stealing it into the apartment or by building up my recording setup over there.

Second up, I’d like to stay anonymous.

In essence, I’d have to film from above probably while hiding my face. The kit comes with a mask but I don’t wanna wear it out of fear that I’d somehow break it.

What’s more, is that I’d have to do this in a way that looks good… and I’d have to do it in one take, probably? I only have one kit. If I goof up somewhere, I’m fucked. I also am super bad at unpacking things as I don’t want to break anything.

More than anything, I’m just so fucking excited. I’m not quite sure if I’ll go with black or purple for my fingernails (given that my hands will be in the picture, that’s an important question as well).

I’m sort of thinking of maybe playing some music in the background from the soundtrack and then adding my commentary separately, although that may be a whole lot of work, actually… it would probably be worth it?

Right now, I’m just so fucking excited about having received something like this finally and I just can’t wait to open it. I’ll publish a video on it on YouTube and share it on the blog once I’ve done so. Look forward to it! Naturally, there will also be a review on the game sometime soon… I’ll just need to find the time, I guess, to write reviews again.
