So, today, I found out that Twitch’s “Recap” for 2022 is out which you can check out over here if you’re interested in what your top streams are and stuff.
Anyway, this year has been a wild ride with many ups and downs, as always, two semesters that kept me quite busy as well as the issues with my ISP and my health… and despite all that, I still managed to stream…
- 463 times apparently
- with 6.19K hours/257 days having been watched by people.
My highest CCV has been 70, which most likely happened due to raids and hosts and stuff… which I’m incredibly grateful for.
According to Twitch’s insights, I had roughly 442 Unique Chatters and an Average Viewership of 5.5… which is A LOT considering how often I’d stream to 0-2 viewers back in 2021. Especially in these last few months, we’ve been building up our little community quite a bit and it makes me happy that a lot of people seem to enjoy the content that I create.
Across 2022, 2.24 Channel Points were earned, 39.4K messages were sent, and 45 people decided to subscribe… I believe that that’s the number of people actually subscribing on their own. My community apparently gifted 38 subscriptions in total which is incredibly generous and which I can’t thank them enough for.
My Top Categories were Just Chatting, Art, Risk of Rain 2, and Deathloop. According to Twitch, I streamed Just Chatting so much that I’m apparently in the top 3% of all its streamers… I believe that means in terms of stream amount (based on context) but I’m not 100% sure about that.

In the end, stats like these don’t mean much if they don’t get explained but regardless of whether they convey meaning or not, what it shows me is that people have been enjoying my stream and that I’m doing something right and that more people find my stream comfy and fun enough to hang out in than ever.
Some of my highlights include the “Rise of the Lich” challenge we did on November 19th where we tried to rig a model from start to end… I still need to post an update on that, actually… whoops.
My favourite moments this year were probably two specific people telling me that my stream is a safe space and that my stream helps them. That’s probably the biggest compliment you can give me in regard to my stream given that it’s what I try to do. It’s my goal on Twitch to create a safe space for people where they can hang out without the fear of bigotry and toxicity.
Honestly, I’m incredibly grateful for my community, their generous support, the amazing and fun times we had this year, all the lovely conversations we had, all the wonderful new people we met, and many more things that I can’t possibly all name here as they’d be a bit embarrassing.
Thank you.
