Colorful Palette has announced that the popular multi-ending daughter-raising simulation game Volcano Princess, currently available on Steam, will expand to multiple platforms, including iOS, Android, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 5, on Thursday, July 30, 2026!
Volcano Princess (95% positive reviews on Steam) is a multi-ending life simulation game originally released by
养蛋人 Egg Hatcher in 2023.
Set in the “Volcano Kingdom,” where tensions between humans and demons continue to escalate, players take on the role of a father who has lost his wife and must raise his daughter. Depending on how players choose to guide and nurture her, her future will change, allowing them to experience over 50 unique endings.
With this multi-platform release, Colorful Palette will take over publishing duties for the game. Ahead of its release on Thursday, July 30, the game has undergone revisions to its Japanese and English translations to provide players with a more immersive story experience, while a Traditional Chinese translation has also been newly added.
The Japanese voice cast includes an impressive lineup of talent, including Mai Nakahara (CLANNAD, Higurashi, Fairy Tail, Honkai: Impact 3rd & Star Rail), who has voiced the daughter character since the game’s original release in 2023, as well as Marina Inoue (Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Date A Live, MHA, Attack on Titan) and Kento Ito (Oshi no Ko, Hypnosis Mic, Honkai: Star Rail).
In addition to newly recorded full voice acting, players can also enjoy newly written story content, additional illustrations, and new exploration dungeons.
The Steam version of Volcano Princess, which is currently available, will also receive a free update around October 2026, with these additional contents planned to be released gradually.
Personally, I’m pretty hyped about this as I’ve been enjoying my fair share of raising games similar to this one, including but not limited to Magical Princess, DRAPLINE, as well as Mushroom Muusume, all of which I’ve seen getting compared to Volcano Princess in one way or another, which obviously sparked my curiosity in the title. With a new update on the horizon as well as the stellar cast of voice actors in the cast (I’m a huge fan of Marina Inoue’s work), I’ll definitely have to check this out.
