The Steam Next Fest 02/2022 is here!

Technically, it’s been here already since the 21st and sadly, I missed the train on posting this yesterday because it would have been 22/02/2022, which is a fun date for… reasons. Anyways, Steam Next Fest! I’m excited! I know I didn’t want to do loads of demos in a post again but uh… yeah, we’re doing that again. I downloaded 60 demos. I have a week of time. The next few days will feature LOADS of demos.

As always, there are hundreds of demos available and frankly, a week is not enough time to play them all… But I’m looking forward to it regardless and the next few days will feature posts with my impressions on these demos, so if you’re as lost as me, fear not. Maybe these posts will help you find some demos you’ll enjoy!

So, what games will I check out this time around? I mean, I’ll try to get them all but these are the ones I downloaded:

  • Soda Crisis
  • Automon
  • Imagine Earth
  • Tinykin
  • Verne: The Shape of Fantasy
  • Kick Bastards
  • Creature Lab
  • The Wandering Village
  • Bio-Gun

  • Card Shark
  • Beacon Pines (again)
  • Coromon
  • One by One
  • Blacktail
  • Monster Outbreak
  • Dragon’s Wandering Tavern

Edit: Given that a bunch of developers reached out, I’ll add a few more to the list, although they’ll come later if I get to them:

  • Kusan: City of Wolves
  • Illuminaria
  • Uragun

As you can see, there are a lot of simulation-type games in there as well as management/tycoon games, which is something I adore and I’m looking forward to it. Beacon Pines just got updated again, so I’m excited to see what that’s about. Similarly, Oaken also got an update, and there are some survival games and colony sims that I can’t wait to check out. I’m sure it’s going to be fun once I get to some of them.

If you want to, stop by my stream! I’ll be live with a bunch of these demos in the next few days and I’ll gather my first impressions on Twitch for these posts. See you there!
