Daily Blogging and Faux Productivity

So, today, I read a wonderful post by Krikket where she talked about setting goals and a bunch of other things, and I learned a word through that:

Faux Productivity

And I knew it already… not the name of this concept… but I know of this concept…

It’s what I call Indiecator.

When it comes to setting goals, creating to-do lists and procrastinating stuff, I often end up not completing all the tasks that I set out to do… and that sucks… in the process, I end up stressing over all the things I still have left and all the things I wanna do on the next day… and then I can’t sleep.

Introducing: The Blog.

I talked about it before but blogging daily helps me mentally and as much as I feel bad for not completing every task each day… I feel great about publishing posts.

At the end of the day, I sleep better when I have written a post.

And that’s sort of where the term comes in that I learned about today thanks to Krikket: I don’t have to blog and I don’t have to do things but I still do it because it brings me happy hormones… and it’s something that Krikket describes much better in her post, really – but I really wanted to shout her out and also talk about where I’ve been applying this.
